At 3D Optometry our expert optometrist is Dr. Thomas J. Mirabile. When patients come to our eye care office in Mt. Pleasant for prescription eyeglasses they are able to first have a comprehensive eye exam given by our highly-trained optometrist. During our eye exams our patients’ refractive vision is first analyzed to determine if they are nearsighted, farsighted, or have astigmatism. If they have a problem with their refractive vision our optometrist is able to write a new prescription for them so that they will be able to see clearly and crisply once again. Our eye doctor will then proceed to screen your eyes for a wide range of eye diseases and disorders. Among the many problems that your eyes will be examined for are: glaucoma; cataracts; diabetic retinopathy; macular degeneration; dry eyes; and many other problems of the cornea, macula, and retina.
