Mt. Pleasant Eye Strain
Mt. Pleasant eye strain is anything but pleasant. Although eye strain is uncomfortable, it does not typically lead to any eye damage. However, it is quite literally a headache. Eye strain occurs when your eyes get tired from intense use, such as driving a car, reading, or working at a computer for an extended period of time. Although eye strain is annoying, it usually isn’t serious, and once you rest your eyes it will go away. However, if your eyes are strained regularly, it may be indicative of an underlying eye condition that needs treatment at 3D Optometry.
The symptoms of eye strain are blurring, headaches, and occasionally double vision.
Mt. Pleasant eye strain occurs through the concentrated use of the eyes for visual tasks. Some people when concentrating visually unconsciously clench the muscles in their eyelids, face, temples, and jaws, leading to discomfort or even pain from the use of those muscles. This may lead to tensing the muscles further and causing additional distress. At 3D Optometry, we recommend that you rest your eyes as soon as possible once you begin experiencing the symptoms of eye strain.
If the systems of eye strain persist, we recommend that you make an appointment with us at 3D Optometry. Your eyes may be repeatedly strained because you’re in need of glasses and your eyes are overworking to compensate. We also may be able to help you identify what factors are contributing to your repeated
Mt. Pleasant eye strain, such as insufficient sleep, being under immense stress, and certain medications. Once the cause is identified, we can envision solutions for you – without additional strain on you.
